TpT is a "supplementary digital materials market," which consists of all types of online or downloadable handouts, curricula, educational games and worksheets. It’s a marketplace for teachers selling their own wares and it works kind of like Etsy. While it started as a place for teachers to purchase products, it has opened up a whole new world for homeschools, daycares, childcares, preschools and parents to find good educational activities.
It was created in 2006 by Paul Edelman, a middle school teacher in New York City. It is now considered one of the top ten The World's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies of 2015 in Education.
