I just uploaded a new
which is becoming a popular line of activities in my store!

plus I will be adding many more!
This is a quick and easy way to introduce or review numbers. Plus each child will have a great take home and review booklet to keep! Included in this activity are the numbers 1-10.

Directions: Run the three booklet pages, printing on the front side only. The ten little number examples can be run colored or blackline.

Activity: Pass the three pages out to each student. They are to fold each sheet in half on the short dotted line and again in half on the long dotted line. Place the three folded pages together with the title on the front and The End page last. The booklet then gets stapled or glued together on the left side.

The booklet numbers and ten frames can be traced or colored during introduction or review. Pass the set of ten little pictures to each student. They cut the ten pictures apart and glue them in the box on the correct number page.
Other ways this can be used is to laminate, cut the pages apart, put Velcro on the number boxes and the little picture cards so that children can match the number of objects to the correct pictures or set it up on a magnetic board.

b and d Reversals Posters Visual Cues

Sometimes lowercase b and d can be confusing for children and some adults, knowing the direction of each letter, especially when doing reading and writing activities! I have created an activity to help give a memory trigger for the letters.

This cute new product is a set of visual cue posters to help with letters
Visual cues can be helpful with remembering the correct ways the letters are formed.
Lowercase b has a baby patting his belly. This is to help remind students that lowercase b has a belly. The circle for the letter is on the right side of the stick and belly starts with the letter b.
Lowercase d has a baby with a diaper. This is to help remind students that lowercase d has a diaper. The circle for the letter is on the left side of the stick and diaper starts with the letter d.

Enjoy these two freebie posters in color or black and white!

Father's Day Fun and Spelling Activity!

What a fun activity for giving Fathers special attention for Father's Day!
It is a great way to learn some letters of the alphabet!

There is a song poster, the Love poster and the letter posters that spell DADDY. Included is a cover sheet and directions. Each poster is 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Sing to the tune "Bingo."

Introduce the song using the song poster. Pass the letter cards out and have the students participate with the singing.

To make the activity harder, sing the song with flipping a letter to Love for each verse and do a motion and/or sound instead. For example, sing D A D D Y for the first verse. Then turn the first letter D over for the second verse and have the children hug themselves and sing Love for the letter D. They would hug, then sing Love A D D Y. The third verse would be Love, Love, and sing D D Y. Do this until all the letters are turned over and the last verse is Love, Love, Love, Love, Love.

Lots of love for Father's Day!

Fall Fun!

The days are getting cooler and the sun goes down much earlier now. It is the beginning of the glorious season of fall and although the leaves are just starting to turn, it is a great time of year to curl up with a good book and read to or with a child.

Here are Free! "FALL INTO A GOOD BOOK!" Bookmarks
for Back To School, Fall and Autumn to help you keep your place!
Color and Grayscale
Plus they like to have their own bookmark too!

This is a creative product for September leaves using “stuff” and glue.
It includes two blank tree templates to be completely decorated into an autumn or fall tree. The tree should not just be colored, it needs something on it! Younger children enjoy doing it together with an adult, especially telling about their tree!

The tree can be covered with whatever, but it must hopefully stay attached when hung up. Plus it shouldn’t be so heavy that it won’t stay taped to a wall.

Suggestions for stuff as decorations: glitter, pompoms, tissue paper, felt, foam,
sprinkles, colored rice, family pictures, beads, sequins, shells, feathers, flowers,
nature materials, sand, fabric, papers, foil, string, recycling materials, lace,
whatever stuff you have around the house.

I have seen so many beautiful ideas and they look wonderful hanging all around! The children love sharing their creations too!
Enjoy!

Environmental Print Connects Beginning Readers With Letters, Sounds and Words!

The words we see in our environment each day are called Environmental Print. It is the print on logos, labels, wrappers, signs, etc. There are many children that learn the letters of the alphabet and some learn how to read, just from exposure to this everyday language.

One of the first words is STOP.

We can use these to encourage the learning of letters, sounds, and words. Talk about the letter names, what sounds they make, how is the word spelled and what does it spell.

Little learners like to read and reread the pages.

A fun activity is to create an Environmental Print ABC Book collecting words from foods, jars, drinks, snacks, boxes, signs, etc.

I have a priced activity in my store called Environmental Print ABC Booklet that will let you download an A thru Z booklet. Simply put the pages in order and staple on the left side. Then you and your child can fill it with images you find each day.
Enjoy!

Thanksgiving A Time To Be Thankful!

The season has quickly changed from ghosts and goblins to turkeys and pilgrims!
This is the time of year when we reflect on what we are thankful to have and enjoy in our daily lives.

This product is to help encourage this understanding of daily blessings and includes several turkey writing templates for creative writing and drawing. A thoughtful activity that has several different size writing lines, plus a blank page for illustrating.

There are also two other fun title pages to creative write how to cook a turkey and
how to disguise a turkey!

Even the littlest learner can tell what they are thankful for, while an older person can write their thoughts and ideas down. Then they draw a picture.

Find the activity here:
It also makes a wonderful book with a title page and and ending page!

To practice skip counting, I have a Thanksgiving theme puzzle product with several counting activities in color or black and white!

Here is a sample of this activity.
It can be used as a puzzle or a one timer with cut and glue.

Enjoy!
